Security lessons from the DOD’s shift to remote work
Alex Chapin, vice president, DOD and Intelligence with McAfee, discusses the Pentagon’s CVR environment, in which the Department of Defense moved 1.5 million users into the cloud for collaboration tools. It also was a paradigm shift for security, Chapin says, with many leaders now discussing zero-trust architecture to improve access controls and data protection.
Cloud isn’t the only modernization change causing leaders to rethink security, Chapin says. With IoT devices becoming more prevalent there needs to be a clear strategy around protecting endpoints, too.
