The bill would reorganize NPPD into a dedicated cyber agency, among other cybersecurity-oriented moves.

Corporate cybersecurity experts told senators that the U.S. government should launch offensive cyber-missions against hackers who attack and steal information from American companies.

The bill, which has yet to be introduced, is said to add clarity, transparency and a level of consistency to the process.
