Edge security and modern authentication

Steve Orrin, CTO for federal at Intel says that because organizations have pushed the edge of the data center to the work from home environment, they need to be able to apply stronger security controls around access. That means things like multi-factor authentication, multi-step authentication and better authentication of endpoints.

Security technologies built into network, client and vendor systems come into play to verify the operating system, the boot time and the applications or runtimes prior to getting access to corporate data.
